Yes, it is funny how they go from a really good design to something so dumb...

...Hotmail still sucks.

Behold, a case in point. I created a `fake` email address. Not for spam, I have a hundred others for that. No, this one is so I can transfer files to and from certain computers when ftp is blocked. So, naturally, I dont give this address to anyone, nor do I post it on any boards. I was also very careful to ensure I wasnt signed up for any of MSN's "special offers". But, reguardless, I still get a crapload of spam. Granted, compared to the volumes of spam I get on *other* accounts, this one has very little. But noone is suppose to know this address. _Noone_ So, how do those sorry SOBs get the address? Hmm? Tell me that?

Bah, the hell with hotmail. If they cant respect my privacy, I wont use their service. (But what can you expect . . . its Microsoft, after all)

[/rant]

[BTW, the highlighted lines in that image are the only emails that are suppose to be in there. The rest are spam.]

Thats weird GBK, But I've seen it before

I use my hotmail account for pretty much every thing and I git little to no spam,

I set one up for my mom that she only uses for work, and she gits TONS of spam emails,

I'm going to guess that you have a email addres thats would be easy for bots to find

(I.E. yourname13@hotmail.com )

I have had tk421dt@hotmail.com for year snow and I get no spam. None at all.

Well, if ya hate the new look, you can always just use Outlook Express (you can view hotmail emails in that program in case you didn't know.)

I found the new scheme confusing at first, but now I kinda like it. It's more 'slick' than the last one.

They added a bunch of features that makes it slightly more powerful, and slightly more irritating than it is powerful, but overall I think it looks better and, as a free service, is absolutely fantastic. I'm not going to say Microsoft did a GOOD job, I'm just going to say they didn't do a BAD job. For once.

Like everythng else Microsoft does on teh internet.... from bad to worse.

I must be loved and protected by the spam gods though because the I never get spam in my email inboxes, well except form microsoft. I have used teh same email adress for 5-6 years and I have yet to get a single piece of spam on it, ever.

Yeah, I know. But when your email address is >10 characters long, I figure a brute-force method would fail to find it...
