I have horrid Girl luck
2004-03-18, 11:59 AM #1
For the past 2-3 months i've had a crush on a girl, and one of her friends found out I liked her, and has been basicly telling me to ask her out, so Monday I do, it was only a few minutes before the end of school bell rings, so all I got was: I'll Think about it. for and answer. Tuesday, last block, I bring it up, and i got a: Sorry, she wouldn't be able to do it type of thing. Today I asked her to explain it a bit better, she gives me a few reasons, and one of them is: p.s. I'm a lesbian.
you know what, I hate my luck, I would of been fine with something like: you smell or something, but this bugs me, and bothers me because the ONE girl I like just happens to be one...
anyways, post your horrid girl luck anecdotes

oh and as a comment back to her, I told her she should be bi [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

I'm sorry to say, but she may not like you. The lesbian bit is a way to say "no", nicely. Just like guys claiming they're gay.

Better luck next time Genki.

Turn on your Genki charm, that'll straighten her out. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] Hmm that was an unintended play on words. O_o

ANYWAYS... seriously, as long as she didn't say "Get lost loser", you can probably still be friends or aquatences (yes I know I spelled it wrong) or whatnot. Better than nothing.

Either:

A) She truly is a lesbian and therefore is not attracted to you.

or

B) She's not a lesbian and just doesn't like you.

Either way, it sucks and you lose. At least you got a definite answer, though. The girl I'm pursuing won't give any definite yes or no!

this is exactly why you shouldn't focus on one chick at a time. Instead of just focusing all of your attention on getting one chick, you should be focusing on them all. That way, if a few leads dont work out, you have some to fall back on.

I think it's probably more likely that they say they are gay because that is the most recent fad. Unless you go to one of those schools for only homosexuals.

Poor Genki, if it makes you feel any better I have been rejected 16 times by 11 different women. In a row. GBK has nothing on me.
2004-03-18, 7:20 PM #34
Why did you let yourself get rejected by the same woman more than once?

Self esteem issue cleanup in aisle 3.
2004-03-18, 7:23 PM #35
Gee Jon'C, you must be awfully fit from jumping to all those conclusions.
2004-03-18, 7:32 PM #36
No, there's a method to my madness.

When you're asking a girl out on a date, you're basically saying "Hey, can I please spend untold amounts of money on your entertainment in a vain attempt to get inside your underwear?"

When you ask it more than once you're saying, "I'm really, really desperate to get in there, too".

Here's a little reality for you, just in case you didn't already realize it from all of those times you've been rejected:

1.) Girls don't play fickle with guys they actually like. Girls want a relationship and/or mad sex0r just as much as a guy does, so she's going to help out and not reject someone she's actually interested in.

2.) Once in a while, a girl will privilege you to buying her food and a movie ticket, even if she hates your guts.

So count your blessings that the girls you've been hitting on are of a better quality than 99.9% of the women out there.

And next time, ask once. If they reject you after only knowing you for 30 seconds, it means she doesn't and never will like you. It wasn't something you did, it was just the way she was raised and the standard of people she's already dating.
2004-03-18, 8:01 PM #37
Wow, you can sure write a lot about my motivations and the thought processes of women you have absolutely no knowledge of whatsoever. I’m even more amazed at your uncanny ability to know exactly how every woman thinks. What other nuggets of gold will spill from the Book of Jon’C?

I fail to see the point of having a serious discussion of this with you Jon as you have repeatedly shown that you are bitter towards women and think of them as less than you. Which makes your sad little diatribe up there a whole lot less convincing, even if it wasn’t already littered with stereotypes, vague assumptions and arbitrary judgements.
2004-03-18, 8:19 PM #38
Bad luck? Meh;

I had a crush one person for too long to be healthy, and I was more or less rejected. (more more than less [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]). The problem was, she was one of my good friends anyway. (She was a friend before I had a crush on her, so I'm not an ***hole-in-disguise "nice guy" [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif])

Then, a second girl, who I also liked, though more as a friend, but would've also been likely to ask out (and of course, be rejected, but you never know...) fell ill with glandular fever, and I haven't seen her for about 3 weeks.

Finally, a bit later on, when I had got over Girl #1, I was thinking about asking out a third girl, only to have my best friend (who I had introduced to her earlier) to ask her out first. HOwever, this I don't regard as bad luck; I just regard as good luck for someone else, and they do actually make a very good "match".

And that is my tale of woe... it's not very good is it? Oh well.

(p.s. obligatory [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif])

The man who just professed to have been slapped down by 11 different women on 16 occasions is saying this?

Have you ever thought, for just a second, that the reason you can't successfully get involved with a girl is because you're doing something horribly wrong? What's that, no?

I'm not bitter toward women, I'm just bitter in general. Try actually reading my posts before shooting your mouth off about me.

There's a difference here, between your well-meaning woman worship and my remarks: They're true. Absolutely and completely true. There are dirtbags out there, male and female, who will take advantage of people if they can.

The fact that you seem to have some sort of idyllic view of the "weaker sex" is indicative of your sexism, not mine.
