Usually, I have a great time debating the truth of any and all religion, but even I would never say something like that. I don't think any Athiest would. That entire comment has not been thought through at all. If anything, religion
does bring out the best in everyone. To debate that would be your own bias of disagreeing with some of their beliefs, and not in a domestic dispute between a couple that you know nothing about. And you also know nothing about what was actually discussed in their argument that lead to the violence. For all we know,
he could have made some very offensive remarks towards her religion that may have offended her. (Assuming he started the argument.. I'm not sure, did the article mention if they were both of the same religious beliefs?)
