I can just say that Guantanamo Bay is one of the many things why the U.S. isn't good country at all. Along with... nah, I don't want to start a debate.

Every country has their darker side, some countries have just retarded dark side, when some don't.

...I thought Americans were dying in Iraq in the name of stopping this sort of inhumane treatment.

What are you talking about? It clearly states that those who were willing to cooperate got free pizza and strippers.

Excellent! We can see that people now lend more credence to a detainees words in a tabloid rag than the president of the lone superpower (for the time being, anyway). Yes, bring our boys home so they can fight for the rights of those they detained!

Hmmm... true, it's not a credible source. Hopefully time will reveal what's going on (for better or for worse).

Tabloids in Britain tend to have truthful articles, just unreliable sources. Unless the article is about Jordan, in which case it is guaranteed to be 100% accurate.

In almost every country apart from america, tabloids are newspapers without all the fancy non-news stuff and a whole lots less add space.(not that it matters in australia as the front page is not the only page without a commercial.)

What really scares me is the Bat Boy, and the way the government has kept him secret for so long. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/eek.gif] Oh yeah, and the world is going to end this year, but that's not as bad as Bat Boy.

I don't know... the Sport is pretty off the wall... it has hundreds of breasts in every issue and crazy stories like "alien turned my son into a fish finger."

But I agree... The Mirror is just a horrible newspaper, I wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw a really really really really heavy bundle of them.

FastGamerr: if you don't want to start a debate, don't run your mouth about how much America sucks and then say you don't want to talk about it.

In any case, if this is true, it is absolutely shameful. I understand that these men don't fall under convenient legal categories, and I don't have a problem with them being held in and of itself. I want to hear similar stories from more reputable sources before I pass judgement, though.
A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

B.S. If this was true, there'd be the biggust ruckus in history going on in this country right now. There isn't. Totally false.

Wait...what part is false? I mean, they refuse to release names of who are detained at both camps, I can imagine some "not-so-friendly" techniques are being used, especially since Rumsy himself said there was a "before 9-11 and post 9-11 way of dealing with suspects."

I could only wade through the first page of that rubish myself. Oh no! Prisoners wearing shackles! Gasp! And he described food similar to what the Army fed me in Iraq. Waah. Don't get me wrong, if US soldiers are mistreating prisoners they should be corrected but this source is doubtful anyway so take it for what it's worth.

Unless it's all part of a conspiracy to keep people from realizing how wars are actually fought. How prisoners of war are really treated. A conspiracy by the zionist oil mafia to control the thoughts of ignorant Americans!
