Dawn of the Dead

Hopefully there's not another thread about this already.

I just got back from watching Dawn of the Dead, and I must say, I liked it quite a bit. It had been along time since I saw a good "scary" movie, and this one was quite entertaining. I've never seen the original, but from what I've heard, that one is quite good also.

Please post your thoughts about Dawn of the Dead and the original 70's horror movie.

Is it as good as the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

Just came back from it about half an hour ago....There was no begining, or end, just a whole-lot-o' bloodshed. They slipped in two scenes of nudity for good measure. There were more people laughing than screaming. A couple of spots will make you jump.

The baby scene just took it too far.

I loved that oldy version of "Down With the Sickness."

looks like we posted at the same time. I can't get my thread to delete so i'll just copy what i said in mine and keep working on it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I'm not sure what i got from this movie, i mean it was shockingly sad and disturbing at some points while funny and very gorey. After i drove home tonight i was just waiting for a zombie to jump out and me to hit it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif].

It was sold out at the first place we went, then had to get the 11:40 show which didn't end 'till around 1:40 or so.

And the friend who was driving had the same joke going with the zombie-killing instincts still fresh. Odd how many people were walking around at 2 am...

I haven't seen it yet... I can't imagine it to do the original justice... George A. Romero is a god.
