Maybe I'm stretching it, but I am so horribly addicted to UT2k4 that I fear I shall wither away if it doesn't receive enough play time...

There's just so damned MUCH to it.. everything that was in 2003, with better/tweaked weaponry and less garbage (although the stupidity of Double Domination still exists). Assault is back, and this makes me extremely happy, considering it was basically the bestest mode from the original UT. Onslaught needs no introduction... its just fantastic... etc. etc.

From what I've been hearing, this game is selling like mad too. I got the DVD SE because I preordered, and apparently you can't find it anywhere now, although I did see 6 or so copies of it on shelves at a local Gamestop last Wednesday.. who knows if its still there. Apparently they're even selling out of the standard 6 CD version of the game. I'm honestly glad that its doing so well, as its a fantastic game, and it really does deserve it. It reminds me so much of the original game, and it really basically makes up completely for the somewhat "meh" of UT2k3, and then some.

I never played a UT game in my life, then today i played the demo at my uncles house, I loved it.

I played the map where you need to connect all the power nodes so you can destory the enemy generator... SUPER FUN, If my computer can take it i may have to download the demo here or even buy the game when i get some cash.

The leviathan is a crazy engine of death in the right hands (and fully manned). The ion tank (in the assault map AS-Glacier) is a crazy piece of hardware that makes mincemeat out of infantry.. Its just so much awesome in such a tiny (and not too expensive) package! It shames me to think of the insane amounts of people who are pirating the game as we speak, because its really worth $39.99, and its just one of those games where I'd feel WRONG about downloading it, simply because it IS so good.

I think we're looking at a GotY contender here...

Also, have I mentioned that I'm honestly enjoying the headset included in the DVD SE? I mean its not the most expensive thing out there, but its essentially free, and its good quality.. I wish it were USB, but beyond that its a nice addition. I really only use the microphone on it, and usually only then to try to get some tactics going in Onslaught/Assault or to taunt Rivin in DM or something...

I just want the game.. so awesome.

I've also been playing a good amount of BF:Vietnam, and there's some bugs and such, but its fun. Most of the player base is pretty much "OMG THIS GAME SUX" and yet...they still play..

Anyways... been playing more Assault in UT2k4.. the damn AS-Convoy map still wows me (that'd be the Assault map from the demo), and everything is just so wonderfully awesome...

I also had the best laugh I've had in a game in a long time earlier. Two guys got in a shouting match over the frickin' public voice chat. Complete with swears and attempted comebacks. Just awesome.

I think this means I win.. ONS-ArcticStronghold is fuuun.
