i downloaded them last night... is anyone else having trouble with the application profiles NOT working... for example i have profiles i set for gl quake and rogue squadron so i have it run the games with FSAA on but when i run the games i can tell it's not working

The menu that allows you to interact with the card changed. Check it out, you'll see what I mean.

From what i can tell, he said that the default settings for the driver were changed, and one particular change that got him mad was that VSync was turned on for everything.

and how does that relate to my problem... i'm talking about application profiles not working...

like i setup a profile for quake pointing it to glquake.exe naturally... and have it setup so glquake will run with 4xFSAA and 2xAF... and it's not working

I had a problem with the new NVIDIA drivers as well. If I loaded something in Windows Media Player, and then closed the application and tried opening something else (Imagine I'm in My Computer), it would act like it was computing something, and then nothing would happen. WOuld have to wait 15 seconds before Media Player would open again.

Went back to older drivers, problem not there.

Plus I didn't have any real improvments performance wise (Geforce FX 5900), so no biggie.

As for your problem, it may have reset something you need to turn off. Check.
