i completed jedi academy and now i want to play with the cheats but i cant get the console to come up so i can type "devmapall" to enable the cheats.

SOMEONE HELP!!

Hold down shift and hit the tilde key.

You need a working keyboard... thats about it. I've never had any problem opening the console.

This is probably a stupid question, but the game is already running when you try to open the console, right? The console only works after you startup the game and can see the menu.

Try holding shift and hte button below escape (also on the left of 1)

Isn't a tilde ~?

On my keyboard the tilde isn't under escape.

Yea... its the key below escape... It always used to get called the tilde key in PC Gamer... it don't make the tilde symbol on my keyboard... but map it to US Standard and it does.

Don't you have to do something to the actual command line of the shortcut to get it to cheat?

no you don't have to change any of the command lines for JO or JKA. At least I never had to and my friends never had to.

No, you just open up the console and type the cheat. They're not really "cheats" in the since that they were programmed in as secret codes, but rather flags and variables used for... stuff. Like cheating. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

The tilde (~) key is located in different places depending on what company manufactured the keyboard. On Sun Microsystems keyboards, they are on the right side, where the backspace key usually is.
