DVD Drive LG GDR-8161B: needs the last drivers or the game is incompatible with this DVD drive.


im not sure if this is the issue but i have no idea where to update my dvd rom drivers since its a factory device...

My Computer -> Right Click on the drive -> Properties

If all else fails, use yuor other drive.

The error says it's an LG drive. Go to their website and put that model number (the number after LG) in annnnd you get:

the only other thing i can think of is there is some kind of XP patch for getting around the copy protection. I recall doing this a while ago when i got GTA3 but ive reformatted and i don't remeber where it was now. Ill check some of my old posts see if it's still here otherwise i have no other idea of what to do.

you could try daemon tool, copy the DVD to the hard drive as an iso and mount it to a virtual drive.
