Alright, everyone, lets calm down a bit before the thread has to be closed.

D....did you have to delete the entire post? That was necessary?

I'm calm. I don't care if someone calls South Park retarded. He was just being and *** about it and there is no reason for him to be like that.

First, it's not up to you to decide whither or not I'm insulted by your poor choice of words. I don't think you were intentionally trying to insult anyone, but that does not mean you didn't. And about that last sentence...so you can just trash talk something all you want and remain completely immune to any repercussions for your lack of tact?

I'm not so much insulted that you said I was stupid for watching South Park and will continue to become more stupid(whither that was your intent or not), but that you think you are totally justified and right in saying that irks me.

No, it's the fact that you have to pull an argument about what I said about South Park out of thin air that blows this thing out of proportion.

The IQ remark was poking fun at South Park. As to how you are personally offended by that, or even how you somehow believe I am calling you stupid for watching it, blows my mind. I apologize for any amount of insult you may have pulled from that, if you can call it one. What do you want from me? A check? If you want to discuss this further, take it out with me in email. I'm not going to argue this further and risk closing this thread. Feel free to email me at webmaster@sorrowind.net

I don't laugh at the Kenny deaths or violence. I'm usually humored by their music or some of their ideas. Like for instance, the stereotype of old people being dangerous drivers. Making fun of boy bands or Jennifer Lopez. Ironically, there is usually an educational part at the end of each episode like needing to respect the old people's need instead of jush pushing them aside or something like that....

I love South Park. If all there was to it was brainless low brow humor it would bore me so very very quickly.

Yes. There are some things in South Park that might take a bit longer to understand. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Last night's episode left no doubt in my mind that Cartman is Satan.

But you gotta admit, South Park has much funnier songs than the Simpsons.

They actually haven't killed Kenny in about 2 years or so. The last time I remember him dying was in the Towelie/Gamesphere episode, and either Stan or Kyle cried out "Oh my god! Our Gamesphere!"

The funny thing about that episode was that they constantly calculated how many hours they would have to play video games, which I used to do all the time. Unfortunately hours arent really hours when you're playing games. They are more like 15 minutes long.

The only fart jokes I can think of is when they have Terrence and Phillip on, and they are actually making fun of shows that are all about fart jokes. Apart from that there was the alien episode where Kyle had to "activate" the satellite that the Aliens put up Cartman's rear. However that episode was completely tasteless in blatantly showing the Jagons of those alien producers.

So Kenny is alive again, but they don't kill him anymore?

Or something.

Well, I have to wait 3 years here to see that episode this thread is about. I remember when some place posted something about the episode with Bin Laden, and 3 years later it was broadcasted here...

Well, meh meh.

Seriously Cool Matty, you just stereotyped the entire show.

If you actually knew anything about the show, they haven't killed kenny in a long time *Like the post above*, and the fart jokes are a minimum. Besides Terence and Phillip, only occasional they do a fart joke.

Sure it's a crude show, but if you look past the jokes and realize the actual references and dialogues that APPLY to today's society, then you'll see the show for what it really is *And why I think Matt and Trey keep doing it*

Some of the episode's have really been genius in the way Matt and Trey have taken an issue in the news and managed to twist it into a plot that involves South Park. Half the time you never see the message coming, and lots of time it is a creative way of thinking about the issue. *As in last week was showing how society is fine with violence but horrified by nudity*

I can understand if you didn't like Southpark for the earlier seasons, I know I didn't at first either. But the later ones they have really evolved the show *Because it would have died if they just kept doing the same old 'swearing jokes', etc*. It's not just stupid potty humor anymore, but actually they're making statments underneath the usual dirty humor.

I'm a christian, I have a 4.0 in college, and I love south park. So sue me...
