Its really beautiful looking this second... so look at it... and then post what you thought or any other things you enjoy just taking time out from your day and looking at just for beauty.

I like looking at the stars. It always amazes me when it comes up how few people have ever layed out and really looked at them, seen the band of the Milky Way, looked for shooting stars, etc.

There's supposed to be a line up of planets tonight. The 5 bright "stars" surrounding (not real close but fairly) the moon.

That would be a good thing wouldn't it? The less distractive light, the more visible the moon should be, right?

I was looking at the moon the other night while driving, and it was the largest I've ever seen it, and red too. Yay for eliptical orbits and light refraction!

The Moon's orbit isn't elliptical enough for that to be a factor in whether or not it seems large when coming over the horizon. It's a matter of frame of reference. Stick out your thumb at arm's length, and compare it to the Moon as it's rising over the treetops/horizon, then do the same when she's at azimuth. You won't notice a size difference.

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

"I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! HaHaHa!"
