The government have known about this for decades but they refuse to do anything about it.

I'm not so sure "Dihydrogen Monoxide" is a scientifically correct referance to this substance... isn't "dihydrogenoxide," as stated in the topic, more correct? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Both are correct, I would assume. Dihidrogen oxide would be no different than dihidrogen monoxide, though the latter does indicate that only one oxygen atom is present.

[http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif] I read that as the 'dancers' of dihydrogenoxide...

Old newz. But definately a classic.

Tell me not in mournful numbers, Life is but an empty dream, For the soul is dead that slumbers, and things are not as they seem. Life is real, Life is ernest, the grave is not it's goal; Dust thou art, Dust thou returnest, Was not spoken of the soul.

Read your labels people. Read your labels.
Don't buy anything that may be suspect.
I always read my labels and know where the produce that I buy comes from.
It's one of the best ways to try to avoid too much of this stuff.

wrong, in chemistry, in compoundsd without metalic lements, the only time there is no prefix for a number of atoms in a molecule is if there is only one of the first element mentioned.

alpha1's right. I've also heard it referred to as hydrogen hydroxide (in Trivial Pursuit, I think), but I don't know how acceptable that name is.
