I've heard so many things about it, and it's gotten really polpular, but I still haven't been able to decipher what it is. Is it an action game or what?

In a word, it's an FPS. Or is that three words? Anywho, it's probably the best FPS since Half Life.

Deus Ex was great the first time through, bit I havent played it since. Half Life I've played completely through about 5 times now, the last of which was no more than 3 months ago. We'll see how Far Cry stands the test of time...

Guess I should have put IMO in my first post [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Assuming Far Cry is actually good (i've yet to play it), it would be the best singleplayer since JK (because in my opinion Half-Life sucked). However, Deus Ex still remains the best first-person experience [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

The Far Cry sandbox editor is GODLY. It's so cool and stable....it even has a tool specifically for doing cutscenes....and being able to test the level IN the editor is just so goddamn YES.

That said, yeah the game relies heavily on models so you'll need something to create them. A lot of people see this as a big negative but meh, I just see it as something new to learn.

Yes, as soon as I'm done with the game, I will be learning the editor as well. Can't wait to turn out a few new SP missions.

Half Life and Dues Ex were both boring... now DX:Invisible War is cool, and HL2 looks awsome.

... Far Cry is t3h sux0r!

No, but seriously, it's not that cool. I have the demo, right? And it's just... Meh. Really, I don't like it much, and I love that type of game.

As for Dues Ex: IW, I have the demo also, and it's cool. Except it throws you right in the middle of everything and I have no idea wth I'm doing. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

The Far Cry demo doesn't really get you into the story very much. A good part of the SP experience is missing

I love FarCry. I spend 2 hours tonight just fooling around in the 1st level... exploring it, completing it from different angles, etc. I found tons of new locations, and new angles of attack to use on the Mercenary camps.

I haven't seen an editor that does it as quick and well as this one personally.
