Why did the deer cross the road

Cause the state didn't have any better way to spend 25 million dollars.

I can't wait to see the first deer ran over under the new bridge [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Question: if you hit and kill a deer, do you get to keep it?

Deer being run over by cars is what keeps the deer population from exploding in the US.

In Ohio I know it is, but you have to tell law enforcement before you can take it.

They've had that in canada for ages and it really works. In some national parks it's reduced road kill by up to 85%. It's about damn time they implement something like that over there.

It also gives you a good reason to buy a new car.

Actually, theres waiting lists for roadkill. People are willing to cook and eat animals that were hit by cars...

Not really, seeing as you're usually pretty much DEAD.

Not when you hit a deer. It'll cuase some fairly significant frint end damage, but it won't really total the car. Elk maybe, but deer anren't all that big.

They are most certainly big enough.

Anyway, this looks like a good plan. Yay for everyone.

Well I suppose the ones they got over there aren't as big as the ones we have here.

I'll believe you when I have to defend the deer that I killed fair and square with my car from 30 hungry rednecks... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Lol, Avenger, I'm guessing you aren't rural enough to have seen a car that has been totalled by a deer eh? Lol, Deer > Car, that's all I will say

In Canada the worst are the moose... I've had to see waaay to many mooses being put down by a ranger with a shotgun. They usually kill the driver and passengers too (the moose... not the ranger).

There are plenty of deer where I live, but they aren't all that big. Maybe you have mutant, super-freak deer where you live [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

I know a few truck drivers who have hit a moose. One of their friends was killed, another had their tractor totaled.

No. They want tobuild corridors for the animals to pass safely across (probably under) the highway. They create a sperate set of problems though.
