Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Half the world's population is destroyed in war? Oooooooookay. Even more suspicious is the fact that he can't imagine living more than a few hundred miles from his parents. VERY suspicious.

I remember that. It was a long read, but worth it. He was very convincing, but there were plenty of good reasons to not believe him. The best one that I can remember is that it didn't make sense for them to send him back since he wouldn't return to their timeline anyway.

Actually, didn't he say that even though he wouldn't be able to return to his own timeline, one of his infinite number of doppelgangers from an alternate-but-virtually-identical timeline would?

I spent quite some time examining everything he said; it's quite intriguing. I can't quite believe he's from the future, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if many of his predictions turned out to be true.

Hehe, that would be funny if the cause of the Civil War would be this homosexual marriage thing, and the federal gov. is against it with bush at the head, and the states who do and don't support it warring with each other. Heh..

Well, what about the middle-eastern area? Iraq could spawn attacks on us for still being in their contry. Or Afganistan, or the countries could unite, but we wont really be affected until later (2012?)

Russia has always been a bit shaky with us. Dunno about Europe/China.

The Civil War could spawned by our government and the affliction of the president, uhh, something they don't like about it.

As for Omaha... you've got me there.

Maybe I'm just a sap for the future, but I think this John guy is onto something.

This is stupid. It all depends on what polygon you're biased towards. I for one like hexagons. By this guy's logic, there are six days in one rotation of the Earth.

6 × 24 hours = 144 hours in one day OMFq~!!!1111

The Earth's circular (or elliptical if you're going to be anal) latitudes can be enclosed in any polygon; thus one can argue that the Earth has as many days in one rotation around its axis as any polygon has sides.

Yeah, you know, being directly in the middle of the nation, and having direct links to all modern and former strategic facilities, as well as one of the largest nuclear shelters in the U.S. would be a horrible choice for a capital...

Bah, everyone knows the real war doesn't start until 2077, after the US has taken over Canada and China has taken Alaska. A handful of people survive by taking shelter in the Vaults[tm] built by the government and re-emerge several generations later to stop a global threat.

BTW, anyone know where I can get a water chip?

Very interesting, but so totally unreal. Very nice Sci-Fi idea though. My applause.

considering that titor's predictions for future dates haven't happened yet, it could go either way. He made a good argument and seemed consistant enough. After all, there are only 3 possible scenarios:

1. He's a liar.

2. he's a lunatic. (he believes that he's from the future even though he's really from the present)

3. he is who he says he is.

I'm willing to give
him some credibility until one of his predictions turns out to be wrong.
