Girl Threatens Mom with Knife for Taking Cell Phone

Quote:
HONG KONG (Reuters) - A 14-year-old Hong Kong girl flew into a rage and chased her mother around their flat with a knife and wooden pole after she confiscated the teenager's mobile phone, a police spokeswoman said on Monday.

Damn, this is just like that story about the boy who tried to kill his dad when he unplugged his Playstation! These Hong Kong kids are spoiled brats!

. . . Besides, if she had a big, wooden pole, seems to me that it would be more effective to bash the door down with that.

Send her to jail for a little while. That might put things in perspective.

She tried to stab her mother for taking her cellphone.

This action does not denote an existence of intelligence or logical thinking.

The girl might have been expecting an important phone call. There was no reason stated in the article of why the mother took the cell phone. Don't make assumptions that the girl is "spoiled" just because her mom took her phone and she got upset. Ever think maybe the girl had actually bought the cell phone with her own money? Hell, I'd be pissed off big time if my mom tried to take my $500 cell phone. So maybe you should all just STFU before you know exactly the events surrounding the incodent.

Hell, even if she bought the cell phone, she probably doesnt pay the plan. Even if she did pay the plan, it doesnt warrant her getting a knife after her mother, nothing does.

No call is important enough to chase your mother around the house with a knife. I never knew Hong Kong kids would be so crazy. I thought it was only America that had violent kids....

No matter whose phone it was or how much it cost or if she was expecting a call, that doesn't give her an excuse to chase her mother around the house with a knife and a wooden pole. That is insanity, plain and simple.

And that has what to do with the topic? YOU don't do anything to help the world, so I suppose you'd be perfectly happy with me taking away something precious to you, whatever that may? You're teddy bear. Your family. Your life.

By your naive thinking, I guess it would be pefectly okay to kill anyone who isn't doing something to help the world? That would be, what, 3/4 of the population of the planet? Wow, your feble attempt at being witty seems to come of as plain ignorance. Regurdless of what she hasn't done - which is what your comment suggests - she does not deserve your insults. She got increbily angry for what she thought was an unjust punishment. If you hadn't noticed, millions of people everyday get insainly angry from unjust punishments and judgments, and those people kill people.

Like I said before, none of you have any clue about the situation, so stop condeming her and stop condeming all of China's youth for two isolated inncidents, and perhaps start paying attention to the thousands of isolated domestic violence inncidents report each day in your own ****ed up country.

Hmm... I would just like to say that:
1) If there are two widely known cases of spoiled Asian kids going after their parents because they are punished, then just imagine the smaller situations that /don't/ make it over here.

2) Jin.. WTF man...

While the previous news story I saw posted here didn't make my day, perhaps this one did...

...Honestly, she QUITE overreacted. Personally, if someone took away my cell phone, I'd thank them, and then curse as they probably would hand it right back. Then again, I have virtually nothing in common with your average 14-year-old girl...
