I'm too lazy to quote Kirby, but this world doesn't need (to take care of) mentally ill people like him, affected by drugs or not.

But no...

yeah, that pcp is real nasty s***....

My mom was a social worker for a time, she has some fairly gruesome stories involving the drug. She was once trying to restrain a guy who was high on it, and he broke both of his arms trying to wrestle away and had no idea. Another time someone else had clawed their own eyes out and she had to help clean it up..

Is 'cannibalism' actually illegal? Was that a separate charge?

Yes, obviously the murder charge carries life imprisonment, but there really isn't any logical reason why the cannibalism should 'add' to that conviction at all. It's just eating the corpses. Which is considerably more efficient and useful than just leaving it to rot somewhere, though there's probably parts of the human anatomy, such as the brain, that you probably shouldn't eat.
Perhaps it might play a part in the insanity plea, but even that.. not really.

Judge J. Dexter Burdette also sentenced Sappington to 61/2 years for kidnapping and 21/2 years for aggravated burglary stemming from a carjacking.

Is that supposed to read "21 and a half years" and "61 and a half years"? I'm a little confused, and that's an awfully...unmathematical way of expressing it.
Or is it "10.5 years and 30.5 years"?

I wouldn't want a family member to be eaten. If my grandmother dies in someone's yard, I wouldn't want that guy to tamper with her body...

The brain isn't bad for you, actually. Not unless the victim had some sort of nervous infection of prions or something.

And I do believe cannibalism is illegal in the U.S.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you can eat people legally here.

But theirs like a contract and stuff, and other things you probably have to go through. People probably taste horrible anyways.

But uhm.... what a tryhard this guy was. :P

Why should it taste any different from any other meat?

Lots of reasons. Like what we eat.

For example, they don't slaughter dairy cows for meat, know why? They're all leathery, and they taste bad... Mostly because they eat different stuff, and are usually pumped up on hormones and such.

That's why you simply eat people who are fit and eat a more natural diet. Cannibalism would be a fairly healthy diet, after all, another human's body contains all the nutrients your own body needs.

Umm.. Yeah...
2004-09-04, 4:20 AM #22
How would it contain everything I need?
Wouldn't it just lack the same things I need, instead?

(ok, I hadn't read your full reply back then)

Oh, of course.

Which can't be that hard I guess. Veganism and Vegitarianism is the new black. It's almost to the point where you're not cool if you haven't gone leaf eater.

No biggie, the fad will cease eventually. Probably with the next generation.
2004-09-04, 8:53 AM #24
You can get all the nutrients and things you need without eating meat.

Here, I'll help you:

There is no excuse. If you're mentally ill to the point where you'd rape your own mother, or eat another human being, you need to be shot. You don't need 'help' outside of a pistol to the forehead. It might not be your fualt, but you're still mentally instable, which makes you dangerous. There's no fixing it, it's there and it's there to stay. If someone had a physical illness where they required to suck someone's live eyeballs out to survive, I doubt we'd bend to their needs, now would we? You can't just pretend it's ok, and spend a lot of money to keep these ill people in a white room. They're USELESS. They don't do anything within the community, and fail any purpose, gods or natures, or whatever you believe in. They only exsist to kill, or be killed.

Ohhh, but they're FAR from useless.

We've learned so much about the human brain through the study of the crazy.
