So, I have to write this paper about ANYTHING, and, frankly, I have NO idea about waht to write about.

So, any suggestions? And please, be serious(If that isn't too much to ask of you!).

You could write about "The use of rhetoric in modern languages as a method to obscure a lack of content"...
You'll see it's all a show, keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

You should write about frogs. Or maybe lizards. The choice is yours.

Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

You get to write about anything and you're having a hard time coming up with a subject? Write about something you are interested in. Duh. :p

Or make it really hard on the person who has to mark it and write about something really obscure. :p

surely there's a specific class you're being asked to write the paper in? unless you're really young...
<spe> maevie - proving dykes can't fly

<Dor> You're levelling up and gaining more polys!

Well yeah... It's for danish class... But it's done now, so... But thanks for all the suggestions...

(And no, you will never know what I wrote about! That will be my closeguarded secret! Muahaha!)

Honestly, papers where you are allowed to choose your own topic are the easiest. Don't take this oppertunity for granted. For example, you could write about free software.

The assignments in which you are assigned a topic are the really tough ones.:)
2004-09-06, 1:28 PM #21
actually, sometimes it's easier when a teacher kind of narrows down the options for you, otherwise it can kind of seem overwhelming
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.
2004-09-06, 1:28 PM #22
Yeah I know... But I can never make up my mind... So many possibilitties... So little time...
2004-09-06, 1:29 PM #23
That can be true, sugarless, but only when the topic is one you are comfortable with. What if, say for example, the topic was about a poet you absolutly hated?
2004-09-06, 1:50 PM #24
yeah, it's always tough to write about something you hate or know nothing about, I'm just saying it's not always necessrily easy to come up with something when the possibilities overwhelm you and you have to narrow it down. At least with set topics it's concrete, you know what's expected of you, som people find that easier.

Write about how students are issued with pointless papers every year. And about how the numbers are increasing, that'd make your teacher happy... ;)
