Gore Movies

Anyone a fan? I've been watching a few recently, memorable ones which I enjoy on occasion are Peter Jacksons older movies, Brain Dead & Bad Taste..

Zombie Flesh Eaters is another great movie, as are the george a romero movies (although night of the living dead is more horror than tounge in cheek gore).

Later today my friend is coming round with the uncut version of Cannibal Holocaust.... its supposed to be slightly dodgy but i just love the cheesy gore and needless violence, although its usually more amusing than sickening.

Any other fans of the genre?

Ichi the Killer is great.... you should check out some other movies directed by the same guy.... I've seen Audition, thats one messed up film.... my friend has seen Dead or Alive, thats supposed to kick ***.

Well i watched Cannibal Holocaust.....

Very very severe... i'd only advise you watch it if you dont have a weak stomach and don't take films too seriously as reality.... it was a seriousy disturbing piece of cinema.

yeah zombies are one of my biggest fears but oddly enough I love watching those movies. George Romero has a new movie coming out actually. Which i'm really excited about. Plus there is a new horror/romance/comedy coming out called "Shaun of the Dead" which i'm sure you all have heard about. I want to see it so bad! lol

That movie came out over here at the same time as the Dawn of the Dead remake... its made a comedian called Simon Pegg, he is a funny guy.

Cannibal Holocaust is about these documentary filmers who went into the jungle to find these primitive cannibal tribes never to return.... but their footage is recovered.

It was really really unsettling.

George Romero is great, I'm glad he finally believes in fast zombies. I recently got Shaun of the Dead, have yet to watch it though.

Shaun isn't being released over here till Sept 24th

and Land of the Dead has me pumped! I'm positive it's going to be scary

the only movie i've seen with fast zombies is 28 Days Later...

George A Romero makes great films, i loved his three Of The Dead movies equally... the first was cutting edge horror at the time, and still packs a punch now.... the other two are just brilliant.... nobody else could manage to make a film thats horrifying AND tounge in cheek at the same time, pure brilliance.

exactly the only person to be able to pull off zombie movies that scare me is Romero. Other people try and it just falls flat. First time I saw Night was when i was 5, that messed me up lol

I dunno.... Zombie Flesh Eaters is really good, as is Brain Dead (by LotR director Peter Jackson... it even has a Wingnut logo at the beginning like LotR).

Zombie Flesh Eaters was directed by an italian guy called Lucio Fulci.... the italians seem to have a good skill at making a nice gore/zombie/slasher/whatever flick.... ever see Driller Killer before.... that wasn't so much gore but it was a fun video nasty... although it isn't too nasty by todays standards.

Nobody has said anything with more truth than this. Ash kicks ***.... and he is the only person ever to defeat spiderman :D.

Evil Dead 2 is probablys my favourite out of the trilogy, its just got the perfect balance between sheer terror and rediculous comedy.

Anyone else seen movies from the Guineapigs series? I've seen The Android of Notre Dame.

It was quite OK for a gore flick.
VTEC just kicked in, yo!
