Check out diskkeeper. its supposed to keep your drive from becoming fragged in the first place.

Yeah. I did ditch Windows. I still have a bunch of files on there that I want/need. I have to either get the 2.6 kernel or get my 2.4.x kernel to read the NTFS partition so I can access them.

...Why dont you just use Partition Magic to convert the volume to fat32?

I think I'm just going to get the kernel I have to read the NTFS partition. When I get time to do it.
(i'm depressed lately and just want to go to bed all the time )
