I'm moving.

*sigh* as of right now, my house (or rather, my condo) is empty .. the only thing in it is this computer; still hooked up because I have unfinished homework .. but other than that, the walls stripped bare, the imprints of bookshelves and cabinets left on the carpets .. I've lived here for 11 years, and now with everything gone, feels like a part of me has gone missing .. it still hasn't fully hit me that I won't be sleeping here tonight :(

I took a sharpie and wrote "'93-'04 - never forget", and then my chinese name under it, in some obscure corner of a closet .. hopefully I'll come back in ten years and it'll still be there and I'll be a rich ******* and buy the condo back.

First personal story I've shared on here, but meh.

Feel free to post similar experiences.

I'm sorry :( I've never moved, but I konw how it feels to leave something behind when you've had so many memories there and has been a part of your life for so long. :(

but, one chapter must end for another to start.
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

Good luck with your move,

I once had an experience where i had to move seat in class... I suppose it feels very similar, especially when you move AWAY from the girls you fancy.

Ask and ye shall be taunted... or something.

I've moved once, away from Postman Pat wallpaint. The next time will be in circa two years when I get the jous of further further education!

I lived in the same house my whole life, until I moved out for college. My parents and brother still live in the same house.

I moved out of the only home I could remember living in when I was 11 and it was the weirdest thing ever. took me ages to get used to where I live now, but after a while it does start to feel like home. I hardly ever go back to where I grew up, but it's seriously odd when I do.

I'm just the opposite. If I don't move into a new environment every 5 years or so, I start to depress.

So far I've had to move 3 times. The actual process of moving isn't exactly fun, but once you're there, everything feels brand new. I've lived in the same house for about 6 years now and I'm completely sick of the place.. But we're not gonna be moving for at least a few years - and shortly after that I'm probably gonna be moving out myself. Eventually I might go to another country (or maybe just another province, probably ontario).
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

From what I hear, another province would be a big change in and of itself. Not many other ones are like quebec.

never had to move house, lived in the same house now for 21 years....blimey

moving into uni halls for the first time was something that could probably relate to what your doing....well the moving out of them anyways...

I really grew to like my student room, even though it was small, didn't have any of the things I had in my room back home, the bed was uncomfortable and the whole student halls were so bad that they have now started taking them down.

but the place grew to be home and the three other guys I lived with I now consider close friends and none of us knew each other before we got there.....I left a little note for the person who would have my room after me, never knew if they got it....
People of our generation should not be subjected to mornings.

lived in one house for for years and the one i'm in know for eleven. The only big change was moving from from a block from the beach to ten miles a way from the ocean. :(
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
