First of all, I'd love to see a source saying the Arrow was a joint project with the CIA, especially since the CIA was putting money towards the U2 and Article 11/12. Not only that, but all the sites I've seen have oddly stated "The U.S. aerospace industry and the CIA saw the Arrow as a threat." Now then, I like how you say "it succeeded," but didn't really mention how. The program ended before any decent engine was put into the airframe. It failed to reach its promised speed of Mach 2+. It had a horrible design flaw that caused landings to be dangerous. Sounds like it still needed a fair amount of work for such a "successful" programme.

"Ironically" the CIA was created based on experience with the OSS. The OSS was formed from the COI. The COI was formed because the realization that the Department of State and Military Intelligence (namely ONI and G-2) were unable to provide the massive amounts of intelligence of foreign powers desired by the U.S. Government. Before COI, ONI and G-2 were conducting covert operations on their own. Those teams were later transfered under COI command, then to OSS, then to CIA. I'm failing to see the connection with Canada...

[Edit - Oh wait, I see the connection. Camp-X, that special camp founded during WWII (After the formation of ONI, G-2, and COI) and commanded by a Scottsman, a Frenchman, and an Englishman. Thank you for providing some land.]

Yeah, how's this for odd? My parents haven't been the least bit interested in my love-life my entire life, and now that prom is soon my Dad all of a sudden seems concerned that if I don't find a date and go it will mean I'm a social failure.
I don't get it... I accepted that fact a long time ago, why is he just now realizing it?

Aww, and "War of 1812" by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie is so catchy. So not only is it nauseatingly patriotic (to the point where it could be a parody?), it's historically incorrect too. :-( Oh well, it sure is catchy!
