I downloaded it and played for a bit... it sounded so intriguing at first, but the game just felt dull... and the lack of a class system and normal leveling felt odd. Plus from what I have heard, the beta servers are pretty much dead now.

In otherwords its good for less than a week.

I HATE MMORPGs, I decided it's for sad gits with no lives. With SWG I thought "Oh it's Star Wars, I cant resist" but now I wish I did.

Okay....so....can't download Ryzom fast enough before end of beta and Neocron 2 looks similarly 56k unfriendly. You know, it may finally be time for me to get ADSL....somehow.....don't want 256/64, have to see if we can afford 512/128 on top of the satellite tv. :-/

This is Tristar Uplink, a base. Bases in Neocron can be hacked and captured by clans, and turrets can be set up to defend them from other clans.


An NPC beastie which roams the wilderness, you don't want to meet it when you're low level as 2 fireballs from it is usually sufficient enough to end your life.


Another cool thing about neocron is it's size.. its a MASSIVE place, and you can come across some pretty strange and interesting things when you explore.
