Okay, I was more prolific today than I planned...so here's the PM buttons.

Now, I tried being creative...in all the PM buttons, there was a picture of a peice of paper, and I thought it'd be kind of neat to use the Emporer's Hologram instead...but I know, I know, the hologram's blue. I still think it looks nice, though, but then again...I made it...

So, here's what I came up with anyway, and if the blue-ness isn't to anybody's liking, I can whip up a nice green peice of paper or something to replace it, no harm done.















I think that'd all of them...if I missed any, let me know.

Oh yeah, and here's a Thread Closed button, too:



(It's supposed to be the Massassi Temple with vines and stuff all over it, kind of condemned....I don't know.)

Det - I toyed with that idea early on while I was making the PM buttons, but the two conclusions I drew were: for one thing, since the buttons are so small, it's really hard to make out most of the characters, while the Emperor's robe seems pretty distinct; and as far as hologram-characters go, the Emperor really makes the most sense. At least, that's what I thought. How about you?

And Acharjay - That'd be okay by me, I like how the vined-up temple turned out. The "new and shiney" vs. the "old and viney" look, though, was really the best I could think of for the "thread closed" button...so either I could think of something else to use, or I could do viney temples for all three of the buttons...not as creative, but if it looks better...

Do we need new icons or something for the "hot folder" icons? They show up in the subscribed threads on the user cp.

You could do things other than characters, like a saber, a blaster, an xwing, etc. Something more distinct than characters.

Well....yeah. I mean, I just thought that hologram Emperor was the best image to represent the private messages, so I sort of made him the PM icon.

But, of course, if you'd rather I just throw in more Star Wars/Massassi related things to mix it up, I could do that. It's just...they won't really mean anything. But the variety may look better.

(And blujay: Could you maybe send me the image-location of the picture you're talking about? Is it the little orange folder down at the bottom of the topic list?)

The two envelope icons, green and orange, yes. Also those with dots (I think they have "_dot" appended to the filename).

I'm going to go ahead and leave the PM buttons as they are for now, because I really like them, but if you want me to do something different with them just let me know and I will. I am making them for you, after all.

And what about these folders? You want new ones? I, personally, like the ones on the forum, the "dot" ones or whatever. I don't really see a problem with the other folder icons either, though...so I guess some else should answer Blujay's question, "Do we need new icons or something for the "hot folder" icons?"

Mooooost excellent, my friend. Most. I'll go ahead and put yours up, but I'll keep the current ones in case Brian wants to do something different. And nice job on that go button, it really looks a lot better. What font have you been using on these, BTW?

The folder icons do work well, I have to admit. But it just seems to me like the envelope ones clash with the folder ones, because their styles are so different.

Oh, yes, the PM buttons...well, the current ones look good, yes, but if you wouldn't mind whipping some up (notice how I minimize the effort you put into them ), I think yours would look even better.

Say, while you're at it, how about graphics for "Submit Reply", "Preview Reply", "Save Changes" and "Reset Message"? I mean, while you're at it...

You realize of course that all of this is optional. But man, you are good! The forums have never looked so good. Thanks for making all these!

BTW, I especially like the Yoda image on the FAQ button. Very clever.

You're right, the "register" button is slightly above the others... And I just noticed that they've changed...

Wow, the forums look really really great now. Thanks for all your hard work. I like the ones with the emporer too, no need to change those In my opinion. I'll try to put up the PM ones later tonight or tomorrow if blu doesn't get around to it.

I love the new forum buttons, but what about the Submit Reply and Preview Reply buttons? I think they are the only ones not to have been redone yet.
