Wierd thing happened at school.....
2004-09-08, 9:03 PM #1
I was walking with one of my friends and his girlfriend down the hallway at my highschool, and this blonde haired girl walked by and said, I love you, TO MY FRIENDS GIRLFRIEND!!! She never even talked to her before! Now that girl sits next to her ALL the time that she possibly can, even when my friend is holding her and stuff. Freaks me out, I'm just glad I'm not her.

You people are truely sad...

But at the same time, I couldn't help but laugh the whole time I read this.

Wow, you're so original and clever, powertickle.

This thread is sad. You fools need to go outdoors and get lives. So girl says "I love you" to another girl. Big deal. Girls are strange animals. They do that **** all the time. They hold hands, say they love each other, and all the jazz without it ever meaning more than "we're friends". It's the near equivalent of males shaking hands, giving high-fives, or that whole "'sup?" "'sup." routine.
2004-09-08, 10:50 PM #15
Saying "I love you" to a complete stranger isn't acceptable to anyone that I know of, male or female. How about you stop making assumptions about our supposed lack of lives and read the story more carefully?

She must know her. As you said, people don't do those sort of things to strangers. She's probably talked to her before. I don't see how the thread starter can claim that "she never even talked to her before". Unless he stays with her, and has been with her every waking minute, he can't say that. Either there is more to this story, he is misinformed/ignorant of other information, or it's fabrication. I don't know which, nor do I care. Enough of these pubescent fantasies, I shall post here no further.

I didn't say they don't do these sorts of things; I said that they are unacceptable to most people. That's why it's so shocking. That's why we're talking about it here, instead of making assumptions about the relationship between COTF_Dude's friend's girlfriend and this unknown girl, as you are. Do you expect me to trust COTF_Dude, or you? He's told us that the two girls had never spoken, and I'll take him on his word.

You, on the other hand, feel justified, for whatever reason, in dismissing this testimony as naught and making assumptions as to the relationship between the two girls, while insulting both our social lives and our lack of knowledge about how women work.

Yeah, forgive me if I think you're full of it.

I'm surprised at the amount of individuals around here who cannot seem to recognise hyperbole and then somehow think they're justified in labelling everybody as fool, loser or equivalent solely on the basis of their inability to interpret text in anyting other than a literal context.

It's fascinating how threads start out humourous then somehow shift into one of those...

girls act like that all the time. They are much more intimate towards each other than we are. If a guy acted like that to another guy in HS, he would get the s*** kicked out of him.

You're missing the point. None of this matters unless they're complete strangers. I've never seen complete female strangers do any of that crap.

Trust me, they don't know each other, and I DO know that they don't talk to each other. The girl who said it just moved in from an entirly different state. AND, what makes it so shoking to me is that this is a 1A school, with only about 90 students in the entire highschool. Plus, the girl said it with passoin, not just a regular i love you. AND i do have a ****ing life, im very active in school sports and know people from all over my area, so don't assume i don't have a life, hell, just look at my post count. use some common sense.

Girls are a weird mob. For example, last year on Valentine's Day as I was heading to class, a girl I had never met before in my life came up, hugged me and wished me a Happy Valentine's Day. Teenage girls do the most absurd things for no apparent reason, just go with it.

I'm with Freelancer. Girls that age certainly show more affection to each other generally than guys, but saying a more than casual "I love you" to someone you've just met is not something the girls I knew in school would have done. Dammit.
