So what, like the sticky threads just disappear after a while?

Also, what's with these threads being created (eg. the animal cruelty one) and then closed before anyone replies? Wouldn't it be easier to just create an announcement?

Oh, and can we have avatars? I used to hate them, but I'm not on 56k anymore.

Sticky threads disapear when an admin decides that they've been around long enough to have been read. The are locked, because they are generally about rules that arent subject to debate, also that attracts more attention and makes people more likely to read them. I use them instead of an anouncement because they are quicker and easier to make (they dont require loging into the cp), and therefore more efficient for an anouncement that only needs to be visable for a couple of days.

And avatars probably wont be happening any time soon. (Don't interpret this as me saying they'll never happen... I just mean dont expect them within the next week or so)

It's so true. I allways look into a locked thread to see why it was locked.
