Who remembers Captain Scarlet?

Ahhh memories - I dug out the first episode today on VHS and it all came flooding back - those Friday evenings at 6 o'clock when I were just a wee lad and Captain Scarlet would be on BBC2 just in time for dinner (a mate usually present or me being round same mate's house).

Glad to see that's one of my childhood memories that wasn't rose tinted. :)

BBC2 showed it last year at about 10am on weekdays. I caught the episode where everything blew up, then didn't.

I think I saw them all when they showed Captain Scarlet after running through Thunderbirds and Stingray.

I did too, but always skipped Stingray - it wasn't a patch on the other Gerry Anderson series'.

Ahh the memories... :)

Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

He is indestrucatbel.

Raaaaaah!

In the first episode he is killed by the MYSTERONS O O and they make a Mysteron clone (making evil clones is how they perform their dastardly deeds), Mysteron clones are basically indestructable (except for electricity I believe), but at the end of the episode Captain Blue defeats Captain Scarlet at the top of a REALLY TALL TOWER, Captain Scarlet falls off (allllll the way down) but because of the fact that he's INDESTRUCTABLE doesn't die, but the Mysteron influence is somehow lost and he becomes good again.

The rest of the episodes involve MYSTERON PLOTS O O which they reveal to S P E C T R U M at the start of each episode (got to give the good guys a chance afterall).

There is a permanent MYSTERON AGENT on Earth called Captain Black he's the MYSTERON CLONE of the member of S P E C T R U M who was originally on the space mission that started the war, he's a nasty man.

They crash him, and his body may burn,
They smash him. But they know he’ll return,
To live again.

I'm sure he was also a closet homosexual. Remember those pouting looks he kept giving Admiral White?
