Can somebody please tell me why the following thread was closed?

That was just plain mean. Eric was just being a nice happy guy and wanted to post some of his pictures. He didn't break any of the rules. I just don't see why the admins here feel like they need to close a thread because they think a topic is pointless. Maybe it is pointless to them, but the thread is not offensive in any way. If you don't want to read it, then why click on it?

The thread wasnt pointless... there was just another thread already that had the same point to it.

I think buck forgot that these new forums have a thread merge function. I've forgotten on several occaisions so far myself.

I guess I see the point in closing it, but why do the admins here have to be so quick to press the "close" button?

Guys, in the chat, he said "oops, I accidntally posted a new thread instead of replying to "post your picture thread". Therefore, that post was accidnetal. So I closed it for that reason, and that there was another thread for what he was posting.

Yeah, got rid of it.

Woah, I looked at the closed thread, saw ALL the pictures, read this one, went back to the closed thread, and some pictures were edited out! That was fast editing.

There's a merge thread button for admins? Cool.
