Job interview today
2004-09-13, 7:20 AM #1
This morning I'm off to go get interviewed for a job at a Dillard's store that's opening up in one of the malls here. I'm hoping to maybe get some of those patented positive vibrations sent my way. I'm probably not the type of guy they're looking for, considering that all the employees that even interact with customers are supposed to wear suits and such, and I've worked in a hardware store for the past nine years . . . doesn't quite match up, but I am good at pretending to be something I'm not. :D

So anyway, wish me luck, and I already know not to leave through an emergancy exit ;)

Well, the interview seemed to go ok . . . It seems that if they hire me it will be to work the loading dock, becuase my work experiance is only in gernal retail, not clothing specifically. Now I just have to wait a little while and see if I do get a phone call from them.

My friend Cara had gone along with me when I first applyed, and she was hired right on the spot. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her, she's been looking for work longer than I have been, but I can see why she was hired so quickly. She's has about an eighth of the work experiance I have, but she is a female with large breasts . . . . Boy its sounds like I'm really bitter when i say that, but I'm just stating what i know to be true. Becuase when it comes to getting someone to hire you, being an attractive female with less than one year of total work experiance makes you seem like a better hire than a guy that's worked retail for more than nine years, specialising in customer service and sales.

Women sell clothing to men better than men sell clothing to men. I'd assume it's the same for women selling clothing to other women. But yeah, that sucks :(

I guess it's not too late for a good luck.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.
