i was just currious to see what happened to the DS fans... there doesn't seem to be anything good coming out of the DS community lately... so i was just currious

I'm anxious about the DS too, if only because it looks like it'll have an awesome library. Dying? The thing hasn't even come out yet!

The only thing I can think of is the Nintendo DS . But it's not even close to DS' release date, so I don't know what he's talking about.

So now you tell us... For all I know, Dungeon Seige is dead, as I haven't bothered to actually play it.

As for the Nintendo DS (code-named "Nitro"), it won't be owned by the PSP in any way. The PSP may actually grab a market share, but it won't do much better than the N-Gage (the PSP will be at least $275US, too much for a portable game system). Nintendo knows what they're doing (or, "they know what they doing"). The Gamecube is in second place for home consoles (slightly ahead of the XBox, but gaining ground), and have held a virtual monopoly on hand-held gaming systems for roughly a decade and a half.

As far as i've seen, there hasn't been much public DS editing lately (all the big mods are working behind closed doors, and we havn't seen anything new from DS2 in a while)

DS is seems to be a very complicated and touchy subject.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Codenamed Nitro? PSP 275 bucks? I'd like to see some sources. Last I checked, Sony said it MAY get up to 200, but then again, so will the DS. It's not cheap. And the DS isn't even MADE to sell wildly, and it won't. It'll sell to gamers, and that's it (and not, that's not even most of Nintendo's market. Ever seen the screaming little kids *OMFG I WANT A GAMEBOY*?)

The PSP is targeted towards the gamer community too--pretty much only nintendo fanboys prefer the DS to the PSP, and vice versa. If you're an X-Boxer, then you'll probably be dazed and confused, :p.

Also, last I checked the GCN was last in sales. Has it gone up?

well out of my eyes... being both a Playstation and Nintendo Fan im sayin that the DS is lookin better... i mean who could say no to a massive mario on the rampage? or yet another handheld metroid?

Dungeon Siege didn't really have much to it. The MP bore most people to death. There wasn't anything to do but fight, and when the combat system isn't repetativelly fun like Diablo, but isn't elaborate, you get a bland hack and slash, RPG wannabe. I still play SP mods, but that's it.
