The ones on the upper right look like bad Diablo 2 characters, or some RPG icons. I can only make out a yoda of sorts, the droids, and maybe luke in his pilot's suit. But really, those are almost painful to look at, especially with their clashing colors.

All the other buttons are fine.

I must say I find them quite distasteful. I can't even see what the little figures are, (and I am at 1024x768), and, with the figures they don't match the color scheme very well.. If they were bigger and fit the color scheme, I might like them, but I'd still probably rather they just be the buttons without any pictures.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Yeah, the user cp picture is a Lando Calrissian avatar I use sometimes:

And really, I don't have a clever reason or anything why I used it...I just like Lando. I think it comes from the SNES game or something, or at least looks like it.

But anyway, yeah, I really only put the characters on the buttons to see how they'd go with the site, and what everyone else thought...I figured it be safe to go the creative route first, rather than only give Brian the (relatively) boring, plain green buttons. I'm of the opinion that a LITTLE colour, in one part of the page, compliments the rest of the page fairly well. But I've never claimed to be a design guru.

But I would completely understand if I was asked to change them...really, I don't take any of this personally or anything. But apparently, a majority of the people do like them...so I guess they'll stay?

I like the buttons themselves, but not the characters. Also, I think they need to be a tad darker. They stand out too much.
