New Movie About Ghosts....

Ok I forgot the name of it, but I saw the movie preview before RE2 the other day.

I'm not too sure if the movie will be good or not, but I can say I'm got a little wigged out from the preview.

When it was talking about ghosts voices being recorded on levels too low for human voices to go etc it just freaked me out a little.

I had actually heard some of those ghost recordings before on ebaums world when a friend of mine had sent me the link.

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/ghosts.html

I had been a little wigged out by some of the ghost pictures but the part that had really scared me were the voices. and then well hearing them again in the theatre in the dark...ehh I got chills

I dont know, maybe i'm alone on this, but I kind of believe in ghosts I mean call me weird, but I just do.

Meh, ok well what are your thoughts?

I don't believe in such things, but I like to keep an open mind.

Fear of ghosts is really a fear of the unknown. Really, if there are ghosts, what purpose could they possibly have in harming you - if they can even do such a thing? You hear reports of hauntings all the time, but when was the last time you've ever heard of anyone being harmed by a ghost? They mostly just appear and pass by, move things around, make some noise... annoying at most! Just remind yourself of that next time you're spooked out. :p
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

yeah, that's true, and I would agree it would be a fear of the unknown. I dont know I guess my imagination gets away with me.

For instance i'm always watching "haunted travels" and stuff like that on the Travel Channel and it's just when they say things about people being murdered and the room feeling really cold or the temp readings all going weird etc. And just that unsettling feeling people get in the room. Eh it's just creepy. To think that a spirit might possibly be able to be within a room with you. ehh kind of freaky

I mean if you think about it, humans are souls within a body. So what's to say the soul doesn't continue on after the body stops functioning...ooo lordy let me stop, now i'm probably just sounding weird. I guess all I have to say is i'm open to the possibility that there may be such things as ghosts

Pretty freaky.

Some of it seems kind of, I don't...suspect, though, at least to me, and I'll go out on a limb and say a few more people around here.

I don't want to be the jerky sceptic, but some of the pictures look possibly faked, and most of them are just really far fetched. Weird little shapes and glares that show up on photographs...is it easier to assume they're ghosts then like...camera, or developmental anomolies? Of course, I'm not ruling out the ghost option...but which is easier to believe?

And then: "many believe this to be the same frequency GHOSTS operate on" ...come on. That camera-pointed-at-TV part was just a little bit harder to swallow.

Those voices, though, are pretty weird. I don't know a whole lot about vocal frequencies and recording capabilities, though...so hearing some voice clips on the internet (let alone "ebaums world") isn't quite enough for me to charge up my proton pack just yet.

But yeah....freaky. I had a pretty intense fear of ghosts when I was little, now the whole phenomenon is just kind of fascinating. Let's hope this video didn't spark up that fear again, though...I guess I'll find out when I go to bed tonight. :)

Or humans are actually just a jumble of synapses in a brain, that decomposes just like everything else. So when someone dies, the only thing they do is provide free fertilizer for the cemetery grass. Spooky cemetary grass!

so in theory, if someone were to have a successful brain transplant with minimal loss of function, then they would become a whole different person, then? The donor would essentially be getting a new body.

haha yeah, well I've seen some pictures of ghosts that i'm skeptical about, they look doctored. But there are just some that are creepy

the one of the guy in the tree I dont know if it's fake or not, but just ehhh his face was just ehhh I cant explain it. I didnt look at that video maybe a couple of months back I had watched it again and I can still see his face in my mind...just creepy

And the voice thing was the part that really got me. I mean they had some of those same recordings on the preview for the movie. the one where the lady says "get out...get out of my house"

Ehh just alking about it is wigging me out. They were showing the dates of when people died and when the voices were recorded, it just creeps me out a bit.

hmm might have to listen to music to get my mind off of this to get to sleep tonight lol

Interesting sentence construction you have there. But yeah, if there were two bodies "X" and "Y", and you put brain "X" into body "Y" Person X would have the body of Y. They are still X, even though they look like Y.

If the brain was female/male to a male/female body, over time differences would appear because of hormone secretion from the brain. There would be other slight modifications maybe as well, because of possible differences in what the phenotype coded for in growth factor or whatever. In any case though, "yeah, pretty much".

If you're interested in ghosts, visit this site, then visit Jersey.

quick question before I go to that page...is it going to freak me out being that it's late at night and i'm the only one awake?

Or rather, is that a site I should go to tommorrow during the daytime, because it's going to scare me? lol

It's not so creepy as it is informative. It has info on many weird places in Jersey, such as haunted places. It also has many stories from people who have gone to these places. It doesn't scare me at all.

Does anyone remember that site (whose name I can't remember at the moment and it's really bothering me) run by a guy who would write "true" stories about weird stuff around the country, then post videos he shot about him and his buddies investigating the stuff?

There was a show on FOX about the site for awhile, but it was cancelled after a few episodes, and after that the site said it was "shut down by the government" or something...

I'm sure someone here has been there before...anyone remember the name?

Sorry, I should have checked IMDb, first:

I knew Ethan Embry was in the show, so I looked him up, and found he starred in a show called "Freaky Links." That's the one....www.freakylinks.com

However, now it's some kind of porn hub (I don't think there's any pictures on that particular site, though, but there's links) so...if you have to view it for some reason, view at your own discretion.

...However...

Someone on the IMDb forum for Freaky Links posted this backup of the page, http://www.haxan.com/portfolio/freakylinks/ , and you guys should really check it out. Back in it's hayday, it was an event...at least, to people who already knew about it. :)

Why did they add that stupid thing at the end? That really ruins the effect for me. Good thing I was expecting it and took off my headphones.
"Flowers and a landscape were the only attractions here. And so, as there was no good reason for coming, nobody came."
2004-09-16, 1:57 PM #21
Yeah that part at the end was cheesy. The first time I dealt with one of those was I think 2 years ago.

I was in my dorm, it was really late at night and I was up because I couldnt sleep so of course I was online and I was at a forum where someone had posted "go here, it's a where's waldo picture it's really fun"

So i'm bored and thinking "hey why not" and that thing popped up. I'll admit I jumped pretty high lol. I dont remember if I screamed or not, but I dont think so because I think my roomie kept on sleeping. But when they added it to that thing in ebaums I already knew what was coming so that part wasn't so scary.

I just think the voice level thing is scary, about being recorded on levels that aren't possible for the living

Ya, 90% of those photos are obvious fakes or people just stretching too far. The videos I'm a bit more intrigued by. The voices, meh. The stupid little "You could be staring at a ghost right now!" and "Look closer" were just dumb and I was expecting them.

The paranormal has always interest me, but far too often, these paranormal pictures are fake. Still if something is troubling you...who are you gonna call?

I was even less impressed with the videos than with the pictures.
The pictures could mostly have just been real people.
It's not the side effects of cocaine, so then I'm thinking that it must be love
