When will developers stop using the janitor for voice acting?

I downloaded the Conflict Vietnam demo yesterday and the voice acting was horrible.

I wasn't expecting the best voice work ever but come on... oh and the gameplay isn't any different from the desert storm games

listen to the crap

on top of that the first guy who was talking has a REALLY ugly model... it looks like someone beat a deformed baby with an ugly stick then let it live to become an adult

Are any of the bazzilion Vietnam games actually worth playing?
I mean, not only does it seem to have been done to death, it really doesn't seem like a particularly interesting game content. Not from the American point of view, anyway. Walking around aimlessly in a jungle doesn't seem like the best setting for a stealth game, and charging over rice paddies doesn't seem like the best setting for an FPS. A Vietnam game from the VietCong would be interesting, if only for the reason that I haven't seen one yet. Setting up traps, building tunnels, placing bombs, sneakily assassinating American troops. Sounds like a fairly good stealth game.

Speaking of which, I wonder if there have been any Vietnam films made by the Vietnamese.

Shellshock: 'Nam will probably be worth playing, since it focuses on recreating the actual hell war has been. From the screens and movies, they're going to make that happen for sure.

WHOA.

You actually admitted that was an opinion? Impressive.

I don't think I'm that bad of a voice actor...

But of the Americans. It was the Americans that invaded, so they should have expected "hell". It is the hell that the Vietnamese went through, that is what is important, that is significant, and that is largely overlooked.

I don't think so, at least according to the mediocre reviews it has recieved. I heard that there are alot of problem with the AI. Wait for "Men of Valor" , that seems like a good Nam game. The music is pretty good too. You can download the amazing soundtrack by Inon Zur, and yes it's legal.
