I sat in a Hospital emergency waiting room reading a magazine that had come with Windows 3.1 on 5.25" floppies. Obviously the disks were long gone but what a little treasure that would've been.

speaking of that... i was at a flea market and my shirt sleeve caught the corner of a stack of old CGW magazines... two of them fell open... one opened to an ad for wolfenstein 3d the other opened to a review for Doom... i almost bought the one with the doom review but they wanted $5 each for OLD CGW ISSUES... i mean if they were like 10cents each yeah i would have

I remember seeing Close Combat 1 in stores and not being able to buy it because we had a 486, and it needed a pentium.

Jeeeeeeezzzz... the earliest PC i remember is the 266... i think that was it. Man... I never even knew there was a windows 4.0... i thought it went from 3.1 to NT and 95.

My first computer was a 4 mhz 8088, with no HDD, only a SD 360kb 5.25" drive, a 101-key keyboard (VERY recent stuff back then!), Tandy 16 color graphics and 3-channel audio playback. Those were the days...
