I was watching my cousin play it a little earlier and it looks REALLY good. I mean you can do anything you want. Also the way you look affects how people react to you. You can get married to not only to girls either o_o. But you can run around killing the towns-people and then kill a shop owner and buy his shop. Theres not many limitations really. The action looks really cool to. Theres quest n stuff its just overall a really cool game. I have seen a thread about it so I thought I'd start one.

Will it be released on PC? I'd assume so, since it's so easy, affordable, and worthwhile.

I'm pretty sure it's x-box exclusive. I'd love for it to be ported to PS2 or PC, some gangsta at my workplace keeps RAVING about it.

I want it on my PC. But I think it IS XBox exclusive.

That makes 3 reasons to buy the X-Box.

They cut it out after it went gold. Said it was too violent. I guess I can't really blame them, since the main target for games is the American target, but still. :(

i heard you can kill a guy, then his son will hunt you down and try to kill you . wow that is sooooo cool. i might buy the game when it gets like down to $30. or maybe i might ask for it for christmas.

i do believe that it's one of the features that got cut, but anyone feel free to correct me.

My roomy bought it yesterday and he's already put in 15+ hours into it. I've got to play around for a few hours, and the game is freaking sweet. Sure, alot of the features got cut (was anyone actually surprised by this?), but there's still so much stuff to do it doesn't even matter.

I'm gonna go play it some more as soon as the roofy I slipped my roomy kicks in...

I heard it was good (silver award in EGM), but the combat is pretty much hack and slash and the game is short. You do have a choose of marrying a guy or a girl.

Yeah Cloud...that made it sound negative.

Also, the combat isn't hack and slash--it's magic, and bow, and...well you get the point. My friend uses his bow exclusively--hasn't touched the sword once outside of the melee tutorial in the beginning.

Well, Peter Molyneux's track record of promising everything and not delivering is still in-tact.

It's ok so far. I'll know when I put more hours into it...but it had better pick up quick.

Fable is awesome. I bought it on Wednesday, and have spent a good deal of my free time playing it. It's very fun. It's challenging, yet still rahter easy, I haven't actually died yet, but the battles are always enough to make me nervous.

You're forced to be a male. I went around using the "Flirt" command to every female I saw, and a dude started to like me, so I left him alone. I have three wives, in three different towns. I'm working on a fourth right now. ;)

Gabe also hated Halo. But he sure does seem to love that Halo 2....

I, for one, love Fable. I'm having a blast with it.

...You know, most games involving swords degrade into hack and slash unless you have some overly-complicated combat system that typically isn't very solid.

...If you listen to Gabe from Penny Arcade, you need to, oh I don't know, learn to think for yourself.

Oh, and about the homosexual marriages... IT'S A GAME. IN A FICTIONAL WORLD. Lighten up, buster.

I think it's fantastic to have a game with homosexual marriage. The Sims is the only other game I can think of that had that.
Also, are the things that Gabe pointed out, are they valid points? Is he right?

Yeah, the pathways are linear, but I haven't found the game any less enjoyable...

*shrug* Sometimes a massive, expansive world just creates the ability to get really lost and bored with quests and such.

I have enough fun wandering around the towns. Also, I don't really give a damn about showing other people my character...

Also, insane load times? I have no idea what he's talking about, they're really not that long at all.

There's nothing that annoys me more than pretentious nerds. Way to be, Gabe.

Fun is fun, and I'm sure as hell having it.

Yeah, Gabe's usually right in his reviews...or wait no, that's Tycho. One of them.

But is it just me, or is Jedi Josh the only one here that doesn't like it, and probably JUST because it was made by Peter Molyneux. :rolleyes:

Might be more of a European issue than an American one. European Software law prohibits the act of killing children, thus they got edited out of Fallout1/2 here and since the GTA developers are English, they aren't there either.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

Um, i never said i was taking his word as gold, i believe i made it clear i have no XBox, have never played it, so have no opinion, I was simply linking to a review site that many people trust. Sorry.

^^^^ Why is that? Because people always always always focus on the features removed rather than what is in the game, which is still a lot. It's very fun, but kind of short, though playing through multiple times is actually pretty cool.
