I don't know how about you I kinda liked JO moure than JA. I complited it on Jedi Master with no problem... it was to far too simple.
And I kinda liked Kyle moure than Jaden no mater how he/she looks like.
I think that the only thing beter in JA are saber combats an force powers.
What's you're opinion?

even if it's a legit topic, it's all in CAPS, topic will most likely be locked.

JA had some good ideas, but they were sloppily implimented. JA seemed sortof "thrown together at the last minute" to me...

Anyway on topic...

I like JO for the smoother story, whereas JA's was sloppy. Also, when your ran sometimes it looked like you had a corncob shoved up your arse. I WANT A FPS VERSION OF KOTOR!! A MORROWIND OF STAR WARS! SOMETHING LIKE THAT DANG IT!!

I think I also liked JO a bit more. But still, both JO and JA don't seem very "Jedi Knight" for me... just "hey, Star Wars FPS yay"-type of games with Kyle Katarn... And both of the games have weak plots, and they lack many things.

However, editors seem to focus on Jedi Academy. Or something.

And by the way, why can't admins rename these threads from all-caps to lower caps? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Yes JA looks more flashy and stuff but JO just had a good level of difficulty. The difficulty of JO on medium level was harder than Jedi Master on JA. You just have to have challenge in these games [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II by far owns these two games. Yes, the graphics are "dated", but there's more to games than just good graphics. And frankly, I don't mind them the least bit. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

You're right, but this thread is still about JO vs. JA. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

I havn't bought JA, because frankly, i do not want to spend money on a game that seems like it could be a mod for JO, and is way to easy to complete.

A KOTOR in FPS form would be very cool, but not to replace the already existing KOTOR.

JA was worth its price of purchase. I dont really like a game just because it more challenging than another. Plus JA has better multiplayer, with cool maps.

I would like JA a little more if I could turn on dynamic lighting without my framerate cutting in thirds. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Yeah, acronyms won't lock a thread. As for me, I agree with 7 and Correction.

I really liked JA the first time through, but the lack of a real story or any progression just makes the replay value very low. So my vote would go to JO.

Outcast SP > Academy SP
Outcast MP < Academy MP

I borrowed Jedi Academy, and I really liked that game. Outcast, I thought was really boring. Academy has more replay value, due to the fact that once again you get to choose your path, light or dark, and you actually get to customize your own Jedi Knight, including the saber and saber color. Another added bonus. Not to mention we can edit it as well. Overall, a great game.

But don't get me wrong, Outcast is still a great game, just Academy is a better game...

Well, I've only played the Xbox version of JA from start to finish and haven't played any humans through that either. However, from what I played, JA SP is pretty good. JO SP story had better flow but the variety of the levels in JA keep the game more interesting than JO. JO first few levels were pretty boring because of the lack of the saber while JA give you that weapon from the get go. As for MP, haven't played it enough to make opinion. The Xbox version doesn't have siege mode (errr!) so I never had played that mode yet. One thing I didn't like about JA at all was the AI. It is pathetically dumb. I heard though that it is dumber on the Xbox for control reasons but even after playing the PC demo, the AI (not talking about the jedi/sith here) are just plain stupid. I guess I should wait until I get the PC version of the game before I can fully judge both games.
