I just saw the commerical on tv just a while ago for the game "Star Wars: Battlefront" and in the fortage of the game, I saw a zoomed in, first person view of a sniper rifle shoot an ewok straight in the face. Poor little teddy bear! LOL

I think being trampled by an AT-ST is the best way for an Ewok to die. But shooting straight in the face also sounds pretty good. I don't know if I ever get this game, but this surely makes it sound more tempting.

Does that game have first person? Because fromt the very little I have seen, it all looks third person. If it is, I wont touch it with a 10 foot pole :p

Actually, I'm pretty happy that it'll have 3RD person, since I find it more realistic in a squad based, wartime shooter to be more aware of your surroundings, and less aware of your aim. No soldier can aim as well as FPSs let on, and a 3RD Person View is a good limitation.

you're looking right at a 1st person POV. christ... its not gonn a be 3rd person restricted. if you still understand that and think having an option to switch to 3rd person is 'crap' then you're just... [special].

Bounty Hunter was 3rd person restricted but you did get 1st person views on: helmet scanner, sniper rifle, manual aim and when using stationary blaster cannons. So there's a possibility that it's 3rd person.

Hopefully they'll pay attention the success of JK and give it both.

I'm pretty sure you can switch between 1st and 3rd person on the fly. IGN has some pics from a 1st person perspective (as well as a review - they give it 7.5).

I'm still waiting for a demo myself. Although my dislike of MP only games is well documented, I'd still like to see how this one turned out.

Erm, it was an IGN review. These same guys gave BLACK & WHITE a 9.7. They also gave the second DEUS EX a 9. Had you actually read the review, you would realize how silly it is.. Read it, ignore the numbers, and compare it to the Xbox review, which was given an 8.5.

While GI gave it a low score (7.75 and 8.0), from what they said, it's exactly what most of us are looking at. As well, neither of them reviewed the PC version. I believe with some generally simple modding and scripting to fix the issues with balance that I've read about, the game could really be something. I'm going to obtain a PC DVD sometime soon from a random friend to determine if it's worth 50 dollars, or not. If the modding is as easy as it is for JA or JK, I think this'll be one of the better SW games around.

Current review scores that I know of for "Star Wars: Battlefront" console version.
Electronic Gaming Monthly: 8.0, 8.0, 9.0
PSM: 8/10

I played the PS2 demo myself and thought the game was fun, but it did felt generic. Then again, this game is meant to be played with others.

I really can't wait for it. I've seen the commerical several times and its made me drool everytime really. I'm counting the days. :)
