MATLAB experience anyone?

Heya, I'm not asking for specific help, so figured this would be the place to ask if anyone here's got any experience with MATLAB, and where might be a good place to start learning from...

I've got three textbooks, but they all refer to older versions, and the syntax has changed in some places, particularly the GUI side of things, which is something I really need skills in for this year at uni. I'm sat making notes on them now, and also on the manual that came with the student edition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

:)

Oh, and I saw this gif on fark.com and thought I'd share it with you, unrelated or not, I thought it was brilliant :D

Bumple

(last chance before this falls off the front page, otherwise I'll let it die and struggle all alone!)

I have experience for what it counts... but frankly I can't really remember which was MATLAB and which was IDL...

Everything I learn at Uni disappears after 6 months.

I thought I might have a copy of MATLAB I could send you for home use, but it's IDL and Maple.

I dunno, I just banged away on the keyboard and learnt it. I think the book I was using was up to date as well, which usually helps.

Thanks for the offer, but I've already bought mysefl a copy!

I've been working through the books, doing the tutorials and making notes, and making a little headway. If that's the way you did it, and nobody else has any experience, it looks like that the way I'll have to do it too!

Cheers anyways!
