Sup everybody.

A nice quick one today. My mate has a homepage set, yet for some reason it keeps reverting to the about:blank page in IE. He maintains he didn't clik Use Blank under Internet Options. I've told him to pop in an address and apply it, or try the Use Current method. Seeing as it's simple, I couldn't think of anything else. Is it like those annoying search engines that set themeselves as your homepage, or something else?

If you had any ideas, I'm sure he'd appreciate them. Thanks.

it sounds like a browser hijacker of some kind. Adaware/spybot won't get rid of most of them, you have to do it manually.

There is no signature

Does it immediately revert, like does he set it and then close IE and open it up again, and its back to about:blank.

Also, several worms will set the default page to about:blank.
