And this time, ebay can't do anything about it.
Life in the .. less literal sense.

Seriously. That's a lot of stuff for $1,600.

That man is doing what 90% of us can't. He's letting go because he realizes he wants to do more in life then sit around. I salute him.
Think while it's still legal.

Maybe the reason he has no aim in life is that he's got nothing worth owning? Seriously, that's the most expensive pile of CRAP you could possibly group together.

I fail to see how owning stuff prohibits him from making anything of himself.

Well, in either case, that's all crap.

That was a general comment, not one directed at you. :D

I find it humorous that part of the auction is Fight Club.

It's a regurgitation of Tyler Durden, which was a regurgitation of previous "leave all this materialism behind" baloney. It's a nice concept, but, in practice, it tends to fail badly.

Why don't he do something that most normal people do - sell that crap at a garage sale or at the flea market. The chances of him getting someone to buy ALL that stuff is very unlikely. It would probably sell much faster if multiple people could see his stuff and just buy only the items they want.

The dude already has 4 bids. And I must say what a deal.

Good deal, low price, but wierd.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

He's even selling his photo albums and yearbooks. That's pretty hardcore.
I have a signature.

Heh.. I've been the high bidder for a few hours now. Go me!

I wouldn't mind having the 6-speaker dolby sound system. face it, stereo sucks when you are a college student and can't do better. The xbox, TV, and other electronics is something I would look into, as well.

I could do without the ikea stuff and the misc items like the coffee maker, though.

The irony that he's selling fight club, and that he's selling it in this auction of all auctions, should not be lost on any of you.

Though I wish he'd sell me the book--I've been looking for it everywhere :(

Wow, that's a damned good price for all that stuff. Best thing to do would be to buy it and then sell everything on seperate ebay auctions. You could make quite a profit.

Hell yes I do. I still have the picture of him sacrificing the letter Q to an animal.

Could you imagine how much the shipping would cost on all of that? :p

Wow. Just wow... What a gigantic pile of stuff...

I admire that guy for having the courage to do that... Jeopardizing everything he has, to fullfill his dreams... I don't think I would be able to do that...
2004-09-22, 2:03 PM #25
I respect this guy, seriously,
I know I wouldn't have the balls to sell all of my stuff...
