http://www.steampowered.com/status/survey.html

Sorry, I thought it was really cool. It's a hardware survey that you can take under Steam. These are the results.

If you look under the section marked "CPU" and at the very bottom line it lists "Above 3.7 GHz"... I'm one of those 16 people. :D :D :D

Don't mean to brag, just thought it was really cool for some reason, that there were only 16 entries under that. Seems kind of small... :/

My specs seem to fall into the average for most groups. And how fast is your CPU running JudgeDredd? 3.7+ghz... holy jesus that is fast :D

That is the stupidest poll I have ever seen. The ram option in particular:

256-512
512-1gb

okay, I have 512mb of ram, WHICH DO I CHOOSE!?
2004-09-21, 10:56 PM #9
It actually reads your specs and chooses for you. I'm not exactly sure where one ends and the other begins. I have a gig of ram, I'm not sure what it put me into as far as that.

also on cpu speed does their survey go by actual clock speed for athlons? mine is a 3000+ so does it count as 3GHz or 2.1GHz?

Well, looking at the choices and how many people are in each, seems you could come to the conclusion that if you have 512, it'll place you in the 256-512 range, and if you have a 1 gig, it'll place you in the 512-1024 range.

Also seems kind of biased towards Intel seeing as how it ranked by GHz speed and not also by the AMD ratings. Like it should read which AMD processor it is, and based on the speed in GHz, calculate the performance rating. 44% for AMD and 56% for Intel isn't too far off...

But whatever.

Also notice how many people are using OpenGL compared to Direct3D... I wonder why. I used to use D3D, but if I minimized and tried to come back in game it wouldn't let me, but OpenGL does.

I love the one guy who's processor vendor is "€." Also some of those screen resolutions are pretty funky.

Wow, the numbers have practically doubled since last night...

No longer 1 of 16 though, now it's 1 of 81. :)
