Since we've had a few repetitive threads, and even more new threads concerning the Star Wars DVDs, a temporary forum has been created for discussion of the dvds:

I figure this way, we'll get more discussion about them without having people repeat each other so much because half the visitors didnt see the last dvd thread.

On a releated note, how many people would be interested in a Battlefront Forum?

w00t! No more endless DVD threads that do nothing but clutter up the forum! Go DSettahr!

Perhaps we should simply have a forum dedicated to "the latest Star Wars releases". I figure the forum would be small enough for visitors to see all the thread topics, and would cut a large ammount of clutter from the this general discussion forum... It would be kinda like the "religeous discussion" forum of old.

Yeah.. a star wars discussion forum.. a forum for anything star wars related. Ep3, Games, the DVDs... that'd be cool.

If we keep making different forums for different things, we'll have nothing to talk about here.

Splitting a forum into LOADS of sub forums is a bad idea, it means people who talk only about star wars would move, and not be distracted by the other good pointless threads.

We should not have a seperate board for Star Wars discussion. Instead, when a major topic arises, we should dynamically add and delete boards as the need for them comes and goes. Just like this.

"No, I'm sorry, the Discussion Forum is for non-Star Wars related material only."

Personally I think we should avoid sub-forums at all costs....especially if we are only talking 5-6 threads.

Well, we've got 8, so it must be all right.

And those 8 would probably be more like 16 by now in the discussion forum, at the rate people were reposting threads on the exact same topic over and over again.

I'm not really in favor of a simple "all Star Wars discussion" sub-forum, or a bunch of separate sub-forums, just a single one to be there to cover each new release for, say, 1-3 months. That way, the site will actualyl be able to consider itself "informative" on the latest Star Wars, in an easy-to-reach section. Since this site is dedicated to Star Wars, it seems to make some sense to me.
