Well, what do you know. It is in the rules; I never noticed that. I guess that ends pretty much any open ended discussion...

Initially misread the title and thought it said, "How many days makes a thread 'deaf'?"

Well, considering that pretty much every post ignores everything that has been posted before, you could say instantaneously.

Here on the Discussion forum nobody digs up a thread that has been silent for seven days. You know, it would probably already be on the page 11 or something. Who would go back that far?

For those who voted "less than 7 days", does that mean this thread is dead? :p

Usually, it doesn't seem like many threads that are about 2 or + weeks old get revived. So Thread Deadness seems to lie more at about 2 weeks than three.

And if it's older than three weeks it's dead twice over.

This is what I've generally seen since I registered, though I have seen a number of exceptions (editing thread on mirrors in JK, for example -- revived after a whole year)
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

No sooner than 3 years.

Over 7 days and it's history.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
