I just bought FarCry...

After the install was complete, the following 'error' message was displayed:

how do i go about changing this setting? I have no idea.

Its a BIOS option. Go to BIOS, look for AGP aperture size option. Kinda hard to miss, thats usually what it is called. Set it to 64MB or higher. (Usually only goes up to 128MB.)

hate to ask this but uh....

how do I 'go to BIOS'?

I could tell you what BIOS means man, but I don't know how to access those options.

the most sophisticated tinkering like that that i do regularly is messing with the hardware RAM size and stuff.

When you restart your computer, you know the little message that says "hit delete to enter setup" or something along those lines? Thats how you get to the bios options.

yeah, usually Dell, Compaq/HP, Gateway and such dont show that stuff. Just keep tapping DEL or F8 and it should come up.

Edit: that is... keep tapping when you reboot.
