^ What rule did that thread break? http://www.massassi.net/forum_rules.shtml

I mean sure, it's kind of sacriligious and all... It seems to me that if it was a story about a goat falling on a satanist, a pentagram falling on a wiccan, or a cow falling on a hindu it would be considered okay? Correct me if I am wrong, but why is it that certain religions are less touchy then others? I understand that most people are Christians here, but my question is, if we were all muslims, buddists, jews, wiccans, and satanists would the topic have been closed?

P.S. This topic isn't meant to question blujays judgement, I just got curious and I wanted to know what most people thought about religions and how sometimes things can get touchy and iffy and taboo and what not.

Probably because it was utterly tasteless and only a sick freak could laugh at it.

But then, I'm just guessing. :p

A woman was crushed by a falling cross. Where's the punchline?
"I got kicked off the high school debate team for saying 'Yeah? Well, **** you!'

It's kind of like saying, "This person died! Har har!" Not very tastefull.

Yeah but I mean dead baby jokes are about as bad, and they never get shot down..no pun intended.

A 72-year-old woman was killed while walking down the street, minding her own business. I don't care whether it was a cross, a cow, or a piano, it's not funny. Don't you get it?

Yet someone can post a topic about a guy getting his nuts ripped off with a power tool or something similar and people will post and post and post about it.

Umm, I think you are the one who doesn't understand the situation of that thread. It's funny in an ironic sense, not funny as in "Haha someone died." I just reread it and no one suggested that it was something to make light of. Freelancer said that it was a "funny way to die." This suggests that it's funny relative to other ways of dying, which is certainly true.

I think you were wrong to close the thread. That's my opinion. Despite that, I respect your right to do so.

I don't think it was meant to be funny, but being hit by a piano, cow, cross or something similarly odd falling from the sky is certainly postworthy.

I think the way you worded the subject was intentionally designed to offend Christians. No thanks, not here.

What a bunch of anal retentative people. SAJN and Jedi Legend, you rock.

Nice assumption, but you're wrong. Now move along...

Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Umm.. if you hadn't noticed, my thread had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH CHRISTIANITY AT ALL. Crucifiction was the Roman form of the chair. The lethal injection. Hanging someone. If that's why the thread was closed, then whoever closed it made an assumption that it had anything to do with christianity at all. So an electric chair fell on some woman. Big frickin' woop.

Yet we have a thread about some guy cutting off his penis, cooking it, and eating it, and it's just fine. This is HYPOCRISY AT ITS FINEST, people.

I'm still waiting for the answer to SAJN's original question. "What rule did it break?" blujay just flat-out ignored this question, and Brian is flat-out wrong.

Ok, Freelancer, you asked for it.

1. I don't read every thread posted here. And thank goodness for that.
2. If I see one that needs something done to it, I'll do it. If I don't see such a thread, then I, naturally, can't do anything about it. Notice that these new forums have a "Report Abuse" button. If you think something needs to be done about a thread, use it.
3. I didn't close the thread because of the link to Christianity. I closed it because it was making light of how that woman died, and I think that is in very poor taste.
4. If you disagree, you can flat-out ignore this, because I don't care very much. The decision has been made; Brian happens to agree with it, and his word is final.

"Now," as you would say, "move along..."
