This is one wacked out Hurricane Season.

Hurricane Jeanne has done a 360, and is again threatening the Eastern Coast:

Hurricane Karl has the potential to hit Iceland as a tropical storm:

And, incredibly enough, Ivan has reformed as a tropical storm in the Gulf, and is expected to hit Texas sometime late tomorrow or early friday:

And of course, we cant forget Tropical Storm Lisa, which is expected to grow into hurricane strength sometime in the next few days:

That map is a funny idea, but the hurricane tracks are all wrong and Key West is mysteriously listed as Republican despite being part of Monroe county.

I'm only mentioning this because there are people out there stupid enough to take the map seriously.

Odd... you'd think God would be wiping out the Gore supporters, not the Bush supporters. Its a known fact that God hates Liberals.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Hurricanes are cool, when viewed from afar. I've had nothing but beautiful weather all summer, and so far this fall.

Actually, the cross of charley and frances was a little more to the east... I know cause they both crossed over oseola county.. (where I live) Charley also exited the state over Volusia county, I know cause it tore up Daytona pretty bad.. yet on this map it says that it didn't hit Daytona at all. Now Jeanne is gonna hit us too.. and that is going to suck... especially if the internet is out on monday so I can't download my Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 demo.

Some spectacular images from the NASA Aqua MODIS satellite. I have to warn you, they are LARGE. Took me a while even on cable. Anyway

Jeanne

Ivan

Frances

Alaska?
That's no hurricane, that's just one helluva storm churning in the north Pacific. That strip of land you see there, is the Alaskan peninsula.

I now so very love the UK.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I am in the hurricane right now!! I am practically in the eye and for some horrible fluke, my power and internet are still on. I hope it stays this way, cause last hurricane people were with out power for 10 days... and being in FL with no AC for 10 days is really bad...

Next season on Hurricane: Ivan and Jeanne finally come to terms with their twisted love affair, and Lisa comes back to break the news to Frances that she's carrying his baby.
