Okay so I get the Call of Duty expansion pack right? So I take it out and put it in, it installs fine, everything's going okay...when I start it up I go to press "Start New Game". Everything's nice and good and awesome.

Except there's nothing. It says "Compiler Script Error (check console for more details" and doesn't load. I try to check the console, and the console doesn't come up. Now the background is gray. WTF?

I have no idea how/why it's doing this, but I wish I did.

*sigh* This is really lame. Anybody got an idea where I could get some support for this?

I know it's no help but the expansion pack sucks anyway :( I thought it was made by the same people as CoD, which rocked, but it's actually made by the same fools that made RtCW, which was complete and utter crap. There's a huge reason companies like Gray Matter are forced to do remakes and expansions to existing games: they're no good at making games in the first place!

That said, have you updated your video drivers and did you install directx 9.0c or whatever was included on the disk? That disk had the latest version of dx I have ever seen so I installed it. I didn't have any problems other than the fact that the game sucked.

Sounds like whatever script was supposed to run wasn't fully debugged. Although I would imagine any scripts would come precompiled so as to reduce load time.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Lame to the nth.

I have DX9.0c installed but maybe I should reinstall it. Blah.
