Microsoft Word's freaking stupid thinks-it-knows-what-I-want-to-come-next-for-an-outline-when-I-hit-enter option?

Do you mean autocomplete? Or autocorrect or whatever it's called? (I cant check, i dont have word installed at the moment.)

Speaking of autocorrect, me and some friends had a lot of fun with that in school. Made it replace a whole load of works with other words. Hehe. On some computers we made it turn a lot of words to leet speek.

I mean like listing and stuff
Like you have a 1. on a line, and press enter, it automaticaly puts up a 2 on the next line, and it's all screwy with the indentation and stuff.

Tools > AutoCorrect

I believe the settings for lists are under AutoFormat As You Type. Turn off auto numbered lists.

I'm going by Word 2k3, so no idea on older ones, but it should be similar.

if you don't want it to put another line,

1) press tab at the end of your current line
2) press shift+enter.

It the program is putting the wrong levels in an outline, just use tab or shift+tab to switch.
