I agree. I mean, they really messed up a year ago, by saying it would be out on September 30, and then letting the source code get leaked.

I really dont think Vivendi will delay HL2. It would be incredibly stupid for them to delay it 6 months. They would completely miss out on selling the game for the holiday season. Other than that, if they delay the game again, HL2 fanboys will burn down vivendi.

I bought a ATI 9600XT last January because they came with a coupon for a free Half-Life 2. Almost regret it now. It was the main reason I went ahead and got a new card; I could have waited till now to get one. Got the danged thing because big ol' HL2 was supposed to come out really soon.

On the bright side, I still have the coupon when(if) it does come out.

It'll come out, it HAS to come out. The only way it won't come out is if gabe newell eats the source code again (like he obviously did the first time. Taught them never to buy hard drives that looked like twinkies again). So in conclusion, chef brian owns your facepants.

Well, I will have the machine to run it by the time it comes out, so that is a good thing.

Luckily, I haven't cared much for the game's release. Once you delay a game, the attention goes downhill.

Vivendi is going to have to do a lot to save face.

Bleh.

All this anti-valve crap is annoying me. It's out of their hands now; They delivered the game to Vivendi. There's nothing else they can do until Vivendi starts manufacturing the game, which could be up to six months.

I want the game more than most people, but I mean, come on. Give them a break, Valve's trying to get this game out, too, but now there's nothing they can do about it but wait. And just because Vivendi could delay it for up to six months doesn't mean they will. As it was stated before, if they do, it'll kill the sales of HL2 by a lot.

So yeah. And stuff.

Haha, bring a lawsuit if the game is canceled for damages done for having to buy a graphics card for the purpose of getting HL2 for free and not being able to use it now.

This is true.

However, to comment on the topic at hand: I was never particuarly interested in HL2, and these delays are making whatever interest I posessed fade. I suppose a really late product is much better than crappy product. *shrugs*
