Yet another computer thread by me...

Apologies yet again... But I couldn't find my last thread on computers to post in, so I decided to post a new topic...

I've been looking through computers on www.tigerdirect.ca and they really have some great deals.

I was wondering, if any of you minded..Could you find the best computer for gaming on this site....for under 1200 dollars?.. I've been browsing all day and I see a hell of a lot of good deals, but which one would be better for me gaming wise... I have no idea. :)

EDIT: I also plan on getting some upgrades, like RAM and a sexy *** video card... Like that ATI 9600 XT. But I can always add that onto the price, if it wont bring it up too much that is.

I found this one..Which seems pretty sexy and a great deal as well:

Then buy a new video card--9800 pro or if you can afford it, 6800 or 6800GT.

Trust me.

Go down and change the video card to the 9800 pro. You'll be all set. Oh and get a 17" monitor (CRT).

Hmm...So the one I posted is no good? I thought it was better....... 1 GB of RAM and the Athlon 64 Bit processor..... 3200..Even though it has an onboard vid card at 128 MB..

Well, if you want to spend $350 more to equip that Athlon64 with a new 9800pro or something, go for it. But if you don't, I'd suggest you check out Yoshi's second link and upgrade the video to 9800 pro, and the CPU to a P4 2.8 to get the 533 mhz FSB (vs 400) and 1 mb of cache (vs 512 kb), it's only $60 more. $1 111,57 :)

Oh, up the RAM to 1 gig, and the price will be aroune $1200.

Yeah, to me they both seem pretty much the same. I've upgraded Yoshi's link to the Pentium 4 2.8 and I've made it 1 GB of RAM as well as put the ATI 9800 pro card.. That brought it up to $1,248.56 After the 100 dollar mail in rebate...But the rebate expires in 4 days :(

Is there much of a difference? If there isn't really a whole lot, I'd rather save that $60. If there is a huge difference, then yes, I shall spend it. :)
